EG-3116: Student Cell Phone Possession and Use
Students shall not access or use a cell phone during scheduled academic class time or during activities/assemblies when instruction or information is being delivered.
Students at the elementary level, or younger, shall not access or use a cell phone at any time during school hours. For purposes of this policy, school hours are defined as the published start and end times for each of our schools or programs that determine the formal school day.
Students at the secondary level may access and use cell phones during non-academic or unscheduled time during school hours.
Rules and procedures will be developed for each educational level, school and program regarding student access and use of cell phones. These rules and procedures will be included in student handbooks or similar documents.
